Mayor Bloomberg Annnounces Hybrid Taxi Inititaive On Today

New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg is interviewed by Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker, and Natalie Morales on the Today Show, where he announced that by 2012, all of New York City's taxi cabs will be hybrids. The change will reduce carbon emissions from the taxi fleet by 50% - the equivalent of taking 32,000 cars off the road. The new taxi standards are a part of PlaNYC, the City's effort to fight global warming and prepare for the 1 million additional residents that are projected to live in New York over the next 25 years. NYC Councilman David Yassky and Yahoo!'s Patrick Crane joined the Mayor in Rockefeller Plaza.

Plus if u see the TLC so called Police of taxi there Last Name is on the jackets with badge number

all u need is a last Name and License Number

and if anyone cared about the facts bloomberg has giving more money to the poor and other orginizations than any other person alive look it up theres only 7 people that has giving more and thats people that left money in there will that died he is a very understanding person he looks out for us all the time with clean air ideas and work force just look at what he has been doing all this time he has cream down over 40 year low

i love that people hate him so much but we have come so dam far this city is cleaner and safer than any other city in the country and we have done more in 7 years than this city has done in over 40 people hate one thing change they dont want to see thing better for life they seem to hate that and the mayor is very good at this
