Showing basic MIDI functionality of Timeline being controlled by Logic Express. Sending Bank UP/Down and Active/Bypass Presets A/B
Bar 1: Bank Down
Bar 3: Active Preset A
Bar 4: Bypass Preset A
Bar 6: Active Preset B
Bar 7: Bypass Preset B
Bar 9: Bank UP
Bar 11: Active Preset A
Bar 12: Bypass Preset A
Bar 14: Active Preset B
Bar 15: Bypass Preset B
On the video, the MIDI data are shown on the right-hand side and the Timeline is set as a PIP. Oh, btw, the music has nothing to do with the video except that I used the Timeline ;)
@giacomopasquali when i get a chance. i'm waiting on a custom midi controller right now. i'll try to do a video with that and the FCB1010

Hi, Can you do a video showing this bypass functions through a midi controller?? Thanks!

@chapintex1 i'll try to explain it in words and hopefully it makes sense :)
so basically, this is how I connected things on this video ...
Mac -> MIDI Controller -> Timeline
and the MIDI Controller will be connected as
MIDI Controller Out -> Timeline MIDI IN
MIDI Controller IN -> Timeline MIDI OUT (this is optional depending on what you want to do)
and that should be it. let me know if you need more info. not promising to make a video but at least I can take some pictures ;)
thanks!

Hey, do you think you could explain how you set this up? I'm assuming you went from the Midi-OUT of the Timeline into the Midi-IN of an interface? Or could you do the Timeline Midi-OUT into the Midi-IN of an M-Audio Axiom midi controller? I would ideally prefer a video of you showing how you connected everything and got it to work with Logic, but thats if its hard to explain here in words. Thanks and nice sounds!

@snouter - you're welcome. it's definitely easier to work with the Timeline using full-blown MIDI-controllers due to the complication of some of the settings. I wish that Bank UP/Down, Activate/Bypass have their own CC and even the Looper controls are not NOTE ON messages but simple CC.

Thanks for the upload. Still trying to figure out how to do that in Cakewalk Sonar, but it is nice to see it is possible.
