Simulation of a ship on oblique waves with pitch, heave and roll motion. Governing equations are the Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RaNS) equation and equation of motion of the ship.
This condition is very common in real operations. However, it is difficult to obtain in usual towing tank experiments.
Simulation code is WISDAM-X that has been developed in University of Tokyo. The model ship is KCS container carrier.
