"They expect, when they find themselves in a world of bloody ruins and concentratoin camps, to escape moral responsibliity by wailing: "but I didn't mean THIS!"
"Those who want slavery should have the grace to name it by its proper name. They must face the full meaning of what they are advocating or condoning, the full exact meaning of collectivism...of the ultimate consequencs to which the principles will lead... " "They must face it and decide if this is what they want or not"----Ayn Rand

and you base this allegation on what? That's what I thought NOTHING. You define the world by the irrational morals that were pressed into you, and so you define people who use their reason to escape those morals as crazy because that is what you have been taught crazy is, but you cannot rationally justify your position, because it is inherently irrational. Have fun with your unfounded ideas that the individual is subordinate to the state or to the group.

Read the New Yorker article on her in the recent issue. She has quite the following. Alan Greenspan, one of the most powerful men in the world, was a doting member of her cult. Her books still continue to sell tens of millions of copies and in multiple languages and have influenced the thinking of countless millions of young minds.

She is actually probably one of the most influential philosophers of modern time.

Excellent!! My only complaint and criticism is the evolution image that appears when he reads they have forsaken "reason" for "faith". Rand was an atheist, but she was NOT a Darwinist.

Nicely noticed. I remember reading about her critique of Darwinism too.
