Vodacom Mwanza Cycle Challenge on Ch TEN News 21.10.2011

Organizers of the Vodacom Mwanza Open Cycle Challenge have announced routes for this year's event that will take place in Sinyanga and Mwanza on Saturday.
The event is organized and sponsored by Vodacom Tanzania to the tune of 50m/-. The firm's Lake Zone Sales Manager Amosi Vuhaula, told journalists in Mwanza on Wednesday that the men's race to cover 196 kilometres will start from Busanda in Shinyanga where cyclists will negotiate their way straight via Shinyanga - Mwanza road to reach the climax at Bugando Hill in Mwanza city.
He said the 80km ladies race will also take the participants from a starting point at Lunele to Bugando Hill, while the men's disabled category to cover 15 km will start from Buhongwa and the ladies 10km will start from Malimbe to CCM Kirumba Stadium.
Vodacom has already announced cash prizes to be awarded to winners in all categories, which shows that the 196 kilometres men's category winner will take home 1.5m/-, while first and second runner up will bag in 1,000,000/- and 700,000/- respectively.
