I was in the press room at the Clemens Hearing. The Press Room is a "mini chamber," and guess who was in the Chairs postition??
I watched as Mike Lupica, of the NY Daily News, danced and laughed in his chair; covering his mouth and pointing over Rep. Cummings comments. This is the media in the USA now, no objectivity at all. Seems to me that a clean Clemens, when asked in 2005 about HGH, would think back to his last exposure to it, in 2003; not 1999, as Cummings suggested. Regardless of Mrs Clemens, Lupica has lost all objectivity, and credibility regarding Clemens. It is called, "prejudism," and is frowned upon. I picked up my camera and caught his next "public display of bias" as he was laughing at McNamees' comments on Clemens, saying he "hadn't heard of CLemens using B-12 until 60 Munites". McNamee lied about that one too. He put himself there, per his depo, as Craig was treating Clemens for an inury caused by a Dr Taylor B-12 injection. He lied about the abscess, lied about knowing how Clemens used B-12, lied to the cops regarding a rape too.
Though I doubt you will ever see that in the Daily News, theyve lost all perspective, and have actually hired 4 detectives to get supporting info against Clemens. And to no avail. Ex NBA Referee, Dohnegy, was purporting that referee - team relationships affected the outcomes of games. The NBA said of Dohnegy that he "was making up a big story in a desperate attempt to stay out of jail." Clemens said the same thing of the drug dealing McNamee during the 60 Minute Interview. McNamee, who said he was going to sue Clemens as early as 2001, and was going to bring Clemens down, also lied to "investigating authorities" during a rape charge in St. Petersberg, FL. The drug dealer used HGH to victimize a lady, who wintesses heard say, "help me," and "no." McNamee deserves a second, more serious look about his credibility. (more)
Clemens did have big game wins. In 86 he got the Sox into the WS with a game 7 shut out win. He went 6 strong, shut out inngs in the 86 WS, and lost. Oil Can Boyd. He also had big success with NY and Hou. Not all resulted in WSC, but he has jewelry. He aint Marino. 3rd all time strike outs, 1st in Cy Youngs, and 2-20 strike out games are all huge. Big Big. He struck out 20 not once, but twice! Never been done before, or since. They say Doc G got Joba hype, Rockets was bigger. He was the best

how'd you get in the press room? and how were you able to video tape it?

I covered the story for an online news org, and brought my digital video camera. Though the room was open, and availble to "the public" as it is a Government Office, and "Sunshine Laws" apply.

I was at the hearing in the Press Room, Mike Lupica seated in the "chairs" postion. He was laughing, pointing, covering his mouth and giggling all day long. So when B-12 came up I hit the record button, and caught him displaying his bias in front of all the press in the Media Room. He is laughing at McNamees' testimony about Clemens. You can hear what McNamee says before Lupica goes into "a rant cut short" for his boy. His payee? McNamee was offered 7 figs' for media interviews. Daily News?
