Animal Collective- My Girls (live in the Culture room)

Animal Collective in the Culture Room on June 9, 2009.

Filled with manic druggies and endless rounds of jumping and singing ,this concert was single-handedly the craziest I have attended, to date. I expected a boring crowd of do-nothing hipsters, but I was quickly proved false in my assumption. Though the opening band (Black Dice) was more of a perpetual fire alarm, Animal Collective saved the night with their endearing lyrics of parenthood and lovely shrieks. AC performed 4-5 (Lion in a Coma, Brother Sport, My Girls, Summertime Clothes) songs from their latest album, Merriweather Post Pavillion, and blended other untitled or unrecognizable tracks to form one melodious plethora of musical bliss.
