Slavery was started by wait for it,... Africans!
White people were just able to capitalize on (the times) HUMAN nature better than anyone else was with their technology. AND whites thankfully built a society that later evolved out of its ignorance.
And theres still have room to grow.

@repticman123 And what a lame excuse! It's like pedophiles goind to South East Asia for their sick peasures and saying "...the kids are given to us by their own people... it's not us!!" Crazy!!!
Just organizing the trade and creating such a huge demand for it is already a serious crime in itself! Don't you think?
And don't forget most of the books about slavery were written by whites! See how american natives were depicted in books and Western movies? Now we know all this is is false...

@repticman123 Yes they did. Don't forget these history books about slavery were written by white scholars. One cannot be the judge of his/her own cause... Of course they would try to mitigate thier guilt by inventing or exaggerating facts...
Of course I can't deny there must have been SOME Africans who sold other African foes, (the same way some jews betrayed some other jews during WWII) but that was not a common practice. Whites would go on razzias and kidnap entire villages for slavery.

Fascinating footage. I worked in Tanzania for 6 years, in fairly primative conditions, and it was heaven. I can imagine how great it must have been then, very unspoiled and clean.

I'm actually an east african, and for some reason I find this vid sickening.
It was a different time i know but it still feels weird, seeing them doing all the hard work, for little money to pay massive taxes so the british wouldnt throw them in jail..
Statistically a good number of those "natives" had higher IQs than the men they worked for and in any other life couldve been so much more than pack-horses. Im proud of my history tho, and now im an engineer living in australia. Silver lining : )
