Recorded January 10-13, 2007.
Melbourne is the second most populous city in Australia, with a population of approximately 4 million and serves as the state capital of Victoria. Melbourne is located on the lower reaches of the Yarra River and on the northern and eastern shorelines of Port Phillip and their hinterland.
This video is a combination of video and still images of my visit to Melbourne. The video was mainly taken from my cruise on the Yarra River which runs through downtown Melbourne. Many of the still images were taken from the top of the Rialto Tower. The Rialto Towers is the second-tallest reinforced concrete building and the tallest office building in the Southern Hemisphere, when measured to its roof. The building is located at 525 Collins Street, in the western side of the central business district of downtown Melbourne.

wow!! You make Melbourne seem dramatic!! (Did you miss the King's Domain, the various grottoes and secluded peace gardens?) You may have been better off in Sydney, with its Young & Earnest building on the outskirts and the American Express on Hyde Park in the midst. I never realised Melbourne could look like Tokyo (even in the middle of a dry Summer).
