Hello, Damon. Since you clearly dont want comments that say anything nice about the guys youre against, I wont say anything. But I have to ask you SERIOUSLY your personal opinion or what you think the Bible says about the issue Perhaps God doesnt necassarily want ALL believers to be BILLIONARES. But Do you really think that as Christians, the only things were worthy of having (in Gods eyes) are the SAME things non-believers have or LESS than what non-believers have??? In other words, why would God ask believers to engage in things completely outside the realm of what the rest of the world is doing, then expect those SAME people to eat mud pies for dinner, AND LIKE IT?????? Again, are you saying that the God we serve is a turn the other cheek & eat hambergers for dinner & thank me for it type of God, while the person that slapped you is laughing with his friends about it & eating steak & has NOTHING to do with God??? Honestly, if God is going to contrast the size of our wallet to whether we love & trust in him, then perhaps its not us who are putting stock in money, maybe its really God! OK, but that sounds ridiculous, doesnt it??? But equally ridiculous? The notion that God wants, condones, or commands that all believers be LESS than the world even if the subject IS MONEY!!! Be HONEST Do you want to serve a God that sees you as not being worthy to have a house BIGGER than a person who OUTWORDLY MOCKS GOD???? Thanks

I SAY: The Lord has blessed some to be rich and some not. Mainline Christianity does not say that God does not want us rich NOR does it posit that God wants us to live in poverty. But the Word of God is clear that we cannot serve both God and Money (mammon), and Gods declares chose this day whom you will serve!

THERE ARE MANY WARNINGS ABOUT RICHES:

1Tim 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded; nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

Jas 1:10-11 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade Away in his ways.

WARNINGS ABOUT THE FLEETINGNESS OF LIFE
Psa 102:11 My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.

Jas 4:13-15 Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be On the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For That ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

Psa 144:3-4 LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him! Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.

1Ch 29:15 For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

For we are aliens and strangers to this world. This world IS NOT our home!!! We are merely pilgrims on a Pilgrimage and sojourners in a foreign land. Gen 47:9Psa 39:12, Psa 119:19; Heb 11:13-16; 1Pe 2:11 ; 1Pe 1:17

TIME IS JUST A PUZZLE PIECE IN ETERNITY!!!

Our days are short and do quickly fade Job 14:2; Psa 90:9, Psa 102:11, Psa 144:4; Ecc 6:12; Isa 40:6-8; Jam 4:14

1Pe 1:23-24 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and Abideth forever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

Therefore, Mat 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Hi shaunekah,, Anything you worship besides God and/or love more than God is an Idol and thus idolatry. That can be a Pastor, The Bible, Money, a Parent, a Spouse, a friend or anything else. Christians do not worship the cross. It is merely a symbol of what the one we worship Jesus Christ (Whom is God in the flesh), has done for us. The cross on my wall only has sentiment for me because it was the center floral piece for my Dads funeral. It is supposed to have flowers coming out of the center.

I am glad I have found this channel. My brother is deep in this stuff through the Wommack ministries. I can't get them to even talk to me. How do I reach them with the real word of GOD?

Hi gregoryscottsr, I can only suggest that you pray pray pray and study study study. Then the Lord can use you to reach your brother. It is tough having family in this stuff,, I know. But the last thing you want to do is let it spoil your relationship with the Lord. Keep the faith and keep your relationship with the Lord in good shape and things will work out. TAKE GOOD CARE!!!

It's the LOVE of money that can be evil, not money itself. You can love money to the point of killing others for nickels and dimes, and still not be rich in any sense of that word.

Wealth can provide financial security and funds to give to those in need. If you are not wealthy however, it does not mean that you are unworthy.
