Aparently (I read somewhere) that the kiss between spock and Uhura was actualy mainly there to Stop the rampant fangirls screaming "CANON!"...PFFFT. nice try JJ. But it aint workin.

When Spock and Kirk were getting closer on the bridge after Kirk beamed aboard from Delta Vega, I was secretly wishing that Kirk would try to get Spock to lose control by grabbing his face, and pulling him in for a kiss! ^_^

Maybe if we all wish hard enough, they'll make it happen in the next two sequels!!! XD

@frederickbabyyeah really? I'd like to see where that was...I thought it was kind of out of the blue. Didn't suit Spock. They need to get back on board with Spock's love life.

@LornieChan I agree Spock/Uhura was pulled from almost nowhere. Also Spock has NEVER kissed ANYONE (in the human way), I thought that having him kiss her (the human way) was in poor taste and made him very un-Vulcan and unlike Spock.

I am a big fan of the original series, and there was never even a hint between spock and uhera...honestly, they just needed to be like "OMG LOOK GUYZ HE LIKES CHICKS!" ...frikin pisses me off....

ANYWHO They were the first official slash couple to have a fanbase...SO TOTALLY CANON!

Zachary Quinto did a passable Spock but he doesn't have the deep, commanding voice that Leonard Nimoy had.

@darkangel4dl Hi. I'll have to look for the interview, but it was officially stated that Star Trek was signed on for a Trilogy, and the second movie is already in the making and scheduled to come out early 2012. :)
