@pccomponetreviewer hmm..... first I couldn't boot to Bios, so I had to do a cmos reset. 2nd, I tried to bump it up a bit, and it wouldn't boot to windows. I don't know what to do anymore.
@pccomponetreviewer should I keep my memory at 1200? or do I have to bump it up. Raising the BLCK will raise the dram to 15xx but if I lower the uncore and spd by one notch they'll stay at 1200.
@johnkx thanks - I also have another question. Ok so I OC'ed my system to 3GHZ using * CPU Ratio 20, * QPI Clock Ratio - x36, * Uncore Clock ratio - 16 * BCLK - 150 * SPD - 8.0 * CPU Vcore - 1.25000v * QPI/VTT Voltage - 1.195V * dRAM voltage - 1.640v somehow everything is stable, but I want to go further, what should I change?
I need help - I can't actually put my ratio to 21 "its stuck to 20". I just recently OC'ed my chip to 3GHZ using a different guide - I'm not planning on oC'ing my ram but is it ok if I just raised my voltage and BLCK and keep my QPI clock ratio?
What cpu cooler you using for that overclock on air.... I could only hit 3.8Ghz on my i7 930 and that was pushing 100c....

@johnkx ok, try 1.3v for Vcore and 200 BCLK
that will give you 4GHz, most i7s can do that, just have to mess around with other voltages till you get it stable

@pccomponetreviewer I am using a XIGMATEK Intel Core i7 compatible Dark Knight-S1283V
My temperature is still at 40 with a good airflow on my CPU.

@johnkx hard to say as every chip is different,
What CPU cooler are you using?

@johnkx to use the x21 multi you need to have turbo boost enabled in the bios
