Lost in the vastness of space, Eldar craftworlds float in utter isolation, their homeworlds destroyed during the Fall, the catastrophic collapse of their civilisation. Highly advanced and deadly, they are physically similar to humans but possessing minds as alien as an Orks. Even as their race is slowly dying, their Farseers look upon the many strands of fate in hope of preventing the coming of Chaos and the death of their race. When an Eldar army goes to war it is at the behest of these revered seers, tasked with ensuring something is protected, moved or destroyed. They strike hard and without warning, showing neither mercy nor remorse, for without their actions the universe would surely be doomed.
Inhabiting a realm called Commorragh, a place as dark and twisted as its rulers, the Dark Eldar launch piratical raids across the length and breadth of the galaxy. Their only purpose is to cause mayhem, steal, pillage and most importantly, to capture fresh victims to return home with. If any race could properly be called evil, it would be the Dark Elder. Devious, vain, and totally self-serving, they hold no respect for any living creature, not even themselves. Revelling in the pain and suffering they inflict, to be captured by them is a fate far worse than death.

I love Eldar and Dark Eldar, but I don't think they're very fun to paint. I prefer my Renegade Imperial Guard army ;D
