Descriptions of locations:
Finch house:
The Finch house is close to the Radley house and to Miss Maudie's just like in the book. Inside the Finch's house there is a chair in which Atticus sits in while he reads and also a couch. Beside the chair and couch there are lots of books. There are three bedrooms in the house for all of the people who live there and a dining room table.
Tree House:
I put the tree house next to the Finch's house because it is where Scout, Jem and Dill usually play. Inside the tree house is a place to sit, a little chest for keeping stuff up there and a window that Scout has looked out of to see the school in the distance.
Miss Maudie's:
Miss Maudie's house is in between the Finch's because in the book it talks about how Miss Maudie let the children play in her yard as long as they didn't mess up her plants. Her deck is surrounded by plants also. Inside there is simply just a table, her favourite chair, some books and 1 bedroom that she sleeps in.
The Radley's:
The Radleys's house is across the street from the Finch's. There are a few plants on the deck. Inside there's a sofa that Boo would supposedly widdle at, a table, a storage room, and a bedroom for Mr. Radley. Behind their house is a farm with crops growing in it.
Miss Rachel's:
Miss Rachel's home is just down the street from the Finch's. There is not much to her house except a small living room, and two bedrooms. One room is for Miss Rachel and the other is a spare for when Dill comes to visit in the summer time. The house is down the street from the Finch's because Dill and the Finch children play together in the summer.
The Courthouse / Jail:
The Courthouse / Jail is the first building you see that is part of the "town" area. Once you go inside there are three rows of benches on each side. At the front is where the judge would sit and two witness seats. Then, behind that is a door to the jail. The jail is full of mold (the green stuff) because that is the reason Boo Radley couldn't be kept down there very long. Also, there are two cells and a chair for the guard.
The School:
Next, you see the school. The school is not very big, there are only a few classrooms. Then when you go down the hallway, there is a door that leads to the playground. On the playground there is a soccer field and two four square courts.
The Church:
If you take a right before you get to the school, you go down a smaller street that leads to the church. The church has a cross on top of it and the roof is hollowed out. Inside, there are a few benches and a podium, surrounded by a stage, for the priest. Behind the podium/stage there is another cross.
The Ewell's:
The Ewell's home is far away from everyone else's homes. It is far out in the country and surrounded by trees and weeds. The house is not in very good shape because the family doesn't care about their hygiene. It is built out of a different materiel than all the other houses, there are holes in the roof, an arm rest off the couch is missing and the rooms are very tiny with not much in them. It is a pretty bare house with 4 bedrooms in it.
Environment:
There is a river in the town and lots of woods surrounding some buildings because it mentions those in the book. There are also snow patches on the ground since it says in the book it was the first snowfall in Maycomb County in a while. Also there is a farm behind the Radley's house because that's where Jem, Dill and Scout went to spy on Boo.
