In this video, I am showing you how to record and convert GTK-RecordMyDesktop into AVI files, and adding to sets of audio sound files to Avidemux (Voice and Background). You can also edit and cut the video in Avidemux, but I'm not showing you how to do that in this video.

Step 1: Record a video with GTK RecordMyDesktop to.OGV Format
Step 2: Open DeVeDe, select Mpeg-4, and convert the OGV to AVI Format
Step 3: Open Audacity and combine your voice with the music, convert to MP3 or WAV Format, this is because the second track on Avidemux doesn't work, so you have to combine the audio to make only one track
Step 4: Open Avidemux, drag your AVI into the open space, then add the once two audio files, now only one audio file into main track of avidemux.
Step 5: Upload to Youtube or any other site, the quality will be HORRIBLE the first hour after downloading, don't worry, it just takes a while to process the video, after about an hour after uploading, you will have 1080p Youtube HD

  • How do you get the unity on the bottom of the screen?

  • @vpdude117 That isn't a Unity Launcher, go to Ubuntu Software Center and look up Cairo dock and install it. It will be found under Menu>System Tools. And you can change the theme to whatever you want! (Make sure you log on to Ubuntu classic) To log on to Ubuntu Classic you have to go to the bottom of the log on screen and choose Ubuntu classic instead of Ubuntu before you log on.

  • I did as you showed in the video , but when i press record , there is no "cube" where i can pause it or stop it ?!?!?

Can you please help me ?

  • @TibianDevy You have to right click the top of the panel, add to panel, and select notification area. It should be there next time you select record
