Memorial Video: Hershey

This is my memorial video of my sister's dog Hershey. Technically, she WAS my sister's dog.. but whenever my dad was pissed at her, whenever Gracie was biting her, any time she felt a negative feeling, she came to me. I love you, Hershey. RIP

EDIT: We have Canine Parvovirus. Once found in your puppies, you have to wait 7 years until you can have new puppies because it infects soil, clothing, bedding, etc,etc.

This form is less common and affects puppies infected in utero or shortly after birth until about 8 weeks of age. The virus attacks the heart muscle and the puppy often dies suddenly or after a brief period of breathing difficulty. On the microscopic level, there are many points of necrosis of the heart muscle that goes alongside mononuclear celular infiltrate. The formation of excess fibrous tissue (fibrosis) is often evident in surviving dogs. Myofibers are the site of viral replication within cells. The disease may or may not be accompanied with the signs and symptoms of the intestinal form. However, this form is now rarely seen due to widespread vaccination of breeding dogs.

Even less frequently, the disease may also lead to a generalized infection in neonates and cause lesions and viral replication and attack in other tissues other than the gastrointestinal tissues and heart, but also brain, liver, lungs, kidneys, and adrenal cortex. The lining of the blood vessels are also severely affected, which lead the lesions in this region to hemorrhage.

My boy had parvo when he was a puppy. He got really lethargic and vomited up blood. We rushed him to the vet and they diagnosed him. We were lucky, he did not die and he is now 14 years old. I know how horrible is can be to lose a pet, I'm sorry for your loss.

I had a 3 old month old black lab named Hershey pass away from Parvo!

As i watch this, it brings tear to my eyes. When i post this it will be 3 hours ago when my dog, Princess, was put to sleep. I saw the light fade from her eyes and her palms become week. I blame myself for not taking her to get her vaccines. i feel your pain...I miss you so much...

@hersheysmith i understand you so much i have hade about 5 differnt dogs in all m,y life i am 22 and almost all of them died for a reason but the worst case was just last week for me and my family when Tiger my 3 month old puppy got parvo virus and he got very sick-THANK GOD*** hes getting much better now i think we all made it but i still cry just to think something could of happend to him! im sorry about your lost but its so cool that you still remember her i think she misses you to take care.

The second year has gone by,, today is memorial day, and i still miss you Hershey:) I am 14 now, and was 12 when i lost you.. 8 weeks and 2 days.. May 24, 2008 was your death date.. That was the second hardest date i have ever gone through.. Hershey.. I luv you so much and Happy Memorial Day to ALL! R.I.P. Hershey.. I am always thinkin of you.. I still have your collar., I still remember finding you in the T.V. room floor.. with blood.. I am cryin.. Parvo sucks!! Miss you SO SO MUCH!!♥yoou babe!

Hey i am the owner of Hershey. Garrett is my oldest brother. I cry every time i listen to this song. or watch this video.. I miss her still. Its been a year. I never will forget spending a great month with her and a week. In fact. Iam crying right now... Thanks hershey for being a great friend i will never forget
