Sloan the shepherd: I was the first dog on the former Vick Property turning it GOOD!

I'm Sloan, a former chained dog who was the first dog to step foot on the former Vick Bad Newz Kennels property as Dogs Deserve Better transforms it to the Good Newz Rehab Center for Chained and Penned Dogs. Here's my story about the closing and celebration of the acquisition.

So far the organization has raised the 30% down payment for the property and gotten the loan for the rest. They now have to raise the money to pay off the loan, and continue to fundraise to build a state of the art rehab facility for their chained and penned rescue dogs.

The group hopes to do as many as 500 dogs per year once the facility is built, but for now they still have to fence the entire property and renovate the existing house to provide space to keep dogs separated as needed and allow them to get housetrained and become socialized with humans so they can rescue while they continue to fundraise and do the rest of their work in education, legislation, and fencing.
