Actually no, most of those scooters are 24 volts and only draw a certain amount of current, by operating it on 12 volts your probably extending the life. Also most electric engines that are 24 volts can handle about 60 before they burn up.

i mean, wouldnt a car battery be too much for the motor, ive got one and heard u can blow the motor with too much current in it??
