Don't Be a Pawn of Osama bin Laden!

Everyone who supports "Burn a Qur'an Day", "Draw Muhummad Day" and/or opposes the building of the Cordoba House in Manhattan is doing exactly what Osama bin Laden wants Americans to do: create a gulf between Muslims and non-Muslims, especially in the Western World.

I agree with you on everything you said here EXCEPT Draw Muhammad Day. Draw Muhammad Day wasn't even aimed solely, or primarily, at muslims. It was aimed at censorship. People who decided to censor that South Park episode were as the target of this as any muslim or non-muslim *who doesn't think non-muslims need not adhere to muslim dogma*. The antics of a few people who got a bit over their heads notwithstanding.

I support your right to draw Muhammad but that's not the issue. The issue is the consequence for drawing Muhammad. By drawing Muhammad, you are insulting Muslims and it also creates division btn West and the Muslim world. It's unnecessary and puts fuel in fire. Currently, West is occupying two Muslim countries and supporting an Apartheid regime, Israel, which is occupying Palestine (40+ yrs), and helped to destroy Lebanon and threatening to attack another Muslim country, Iran.

I supported "Draw Muhammed Day" in order to support free speech. That's not the same as book burning or trying to stop a community center (and YES, it is NOT a freaking mosque, it is a community center!).

While I agree with you concerning the "burn the Qur'an day", I couldn't agree less on the issue of the "draw Muhammad day".

Every religion has been used to criticism, that is how we pushed christians back and installed separation of church and State.

Basically for 1400 years, islam has lived without any scrutiny or criticism. The muslims MUST be used to criticism and cartoons like everybody else. THAT is pushing civilization and certainly not playing the game of Bin Laden.
