After seeing many landings at Princess Juliana International Airport, I decided to try it myself. This "FSX pre-set mission" was actually for a CRJ700, but I changed it to a Boeing 747-400. Some dialogue from the female First Officer are therefore incorrect. I noticed that I flared up to 8°. (:O) Yeah... I won't abuse the back Economy class passengers again. ;) Yeah... not my best landing, probably because the software was totally lagging my FSX.

  • Yo High Approach.

You have to look to the papi lichts 2red 2 white than you are goo on the glide slope

  • Glidescopes are only available for ILS landing (the green scopes on the GPS). No, they were not available at TNCM. Yeah, I guess it was too high. Then again, better than too low (especially when trying not to hit people on the beach, cars or the fence).

  • The Gildescopes are for the ILS landing i know that. But you have to use it also voor Visual landings on TNCM.

  • Yeah, I know what the lights are for. But I struck the fence when the lights were 2W/2R. O_o So I approached it higher for the "real deal" of recording. I don't know, FSX has some flaws. If you look closely, the instruments on the co-pilots side are wrong, i.e. they are exactly like the captain's. The co-pilot's instruments are supposed to be flipped, i.e. primary display right and course heading display on the left for co-pilot.

  • yea but is a visual approach you use the papi lights to indicate how high u are the Glidescopes are useful but the papi as any pilots now is the most resourceful landing espeacially for st maarten in small words that was too high for a st maarten flight because u have exit the taxiways very fast

  • I made it, afterall. Not like Air France with their A340 in Toronto, Canada. And I didn't really see enough reasons for a go-around. xD Oh well, if I'd intend to become a commercial pilot, I'd still have many dozen years until Chief Captain of a quadruple-engine jet.
