  • Well, that's gotta be one of the last times that Portland was cool.

  • @BarnacleBillsBastard It's a pedal steel, but he wasn't using the pedals.

  • Nicely done!

  • That was great! I could hear the Jerry Byrd influence, for sure. But Ray is a master in his own right.

Only in the steel guitar world - a polka is described as a swingin' tune! Maybe as in "swing your partner", huh?

  • Was he playing pedal steel here, or just 4 necks on a console? It doesn't sound like pedal steel. Good playing either way.

  • The Skipper is one of my all-time favorite steel guitarists.

  • Ray, is there any more footage from Heck's show. I haven't been able to locate the earlier shows when I played on the Show. By the way you sounded great. Bobby Gibson

  • Ya Just Gotta Love It , "Skipper"

    Great -- Posture--Right and Left Hand Technique--Intonation--Vibrato

    The Full Montee.

  • This is a wonderful flash back, boy Ray must be old like me! Bobbe Seymour

  • Bravo Ray !!!

Thanks for making this available Rick!
