About Larry Cassidy & His Dixie Raiders (from Hillbilly-Music.com):
Larry Cassidy was know in the Los Angeles area as "The Singin' Cop" and was playing numerous spots in Southern California. In 1949, they named him and his band to play at Uncle Dave Ming's 97th Street Corral during the absence of Tommy Duncan's Western All-Stars.
He had at least five records released by Capital, interspersed with such well known artists as Tex Ritter, Merle Travis, Kay Starr, and Tennessee Ernie Ford.
Damn--I'm stunned. I have this Capitol Americana 78--I typed the title in here for S's and G's and here it is.
