@bluesman18064 No problem. I'm not really a huge fan of Vedder's either, mostly because of his bs political stances. I really listened to Pearl Jam because of Mike McCready and his SRV inspired guitar playing.

@bluesman18064 He's from liberal California...by way of liberal Illinois. What else would you expect other than a quasi-political weenie? However, I think, over the years Eddie has seen enough of his friends and constituents lost to drugs and other abuses to be able to sing songs like this from the heart.

Other than that... It is a generational thing. No different than people who like sad excuse for bands like AC/DC and Kiss. It's what was there when they were growing up.

I usually like Eddie's cover versions, especially when he does Dylan songs... but it's very obvious this one is Neals song... as good as he is, he can't touch it.

This crowd isn't all that into him????????......... In this video he was his own opening act cause the singer in the opening act was stuck at the border. I was there n seen him come on early to play for the few of us that were lucky enough to go sit down instead of standin waiting for a beer in the f@#$n line ups! He almost started a stampede man........
