Footage taken on a walk around the Czech capital city of Prague, beginning on Washington at the State Opera House passed the National Museum, and down Wenceslas Square to Narodni, then left towards the Vltava River passed Spalena and the National Theatre to the Bridge of Legions. From there views show trams passing over the bridge and along Smetanovo Nabr, Petrin Hill observation tower, Prague Castle, Jiraskuv Most Bridge, Charles Bridge, the River. The walk then passes Krannerova Kasna to the Charles Bridge showing ‪Staroměstská mostecká věž‬ and views on and from the bridge. The walk then goes to Old Town Square where the Christmas Market is in full-swing. It shows Týn Cathedral, the Astronomical Clock, St. Nicholas Church, The Old Town Hall and the Jan Hus statue.

  • Subway Sandwich Shops, McDonald's and Kentucky Fried Chicken!

  • @091053JG Globalisation!

  • Great job of capturing what Prague is! Would that we still took the time to make things so lasting and beautiful. I last visited at Christmas of 1999 when the Czech Republic was still figuring out its new identity apart from the Soviets and from Slovakia, I can't imagine it's changed much except for the prices of things, so I hear. I'd go and live there in a heartbeat if it was possible. Thanks for the wonderful run down memory lane. (You seem to love the trains, huh? lol)

  • @threehundredwords Thanks, Prague has got VERY expensive, but it is still a pleasure to walk around...and yeah I like the trains : )

  • @stuartmoss I appreciate you sharing that info, Stuart, and look forward to more great footage.

  • @usenetposts Thank you. This camera is a Canon Legria HF S200, I tend to use that most of the time, but sometimes I use a Flip Ultra.

  • @stuartmoss Thanks for the reply, and may I also ask what camera you used on this? The quality is very good, and for just holding it in your hands there is very good handling, which is no doubt as much your skill as the camera. The sound is also a crisp as you like. Excellent. I think I'm subbing to your channel.

  • @usenetposts No, it was too cold to be collapsing and setting up a tripod. I sometimes use a mono-pole, but on this occasion held the camera in my hand.

  • Did you use a tripod for this?

  • i miss prague im going this year for my 30th birthday sometime ive been twice before thanks for the vid mate
