Minutes after the termination of the second of three Presidential debates between Barack Obama and John McCain, Real News Senior Editor Paul Jay sat down with Bill Fletcher Jr. Executive Editor of The Black Commentator. In part one of their conversation Bill shares his dissatisfaction with Obama's unwillingness to advocate for any radical policy changes on the major issues and his analysis of the contempt which McCain has shown for Obama over the campaign.

Don't worry if that's true will you be happy if Obama beats McCain you will be very happy. Well lets say Obama will kill the econonmy. He says he will take away taxes from middle class people, he can't do that. In order to do that he will have to tax all the upper class citizens many of those people are the buisness owners. They wont stand by and let Obama tax them, they will want their money BACK! So they will raise the price, taxes will go up and america will be screw over. Thanks Obama thanks

Bill Fletcher was about to say that although white people may respond and support what obama is saying, when it comes to election day, many of those people may vote mccain because they subconsciouly, or consciously don't want a black president. before you say that sounds rediculous, it has happened in history. a black canidate running for office was ahead in the polls, but on election day lost. not sure which race but my social problems professor told us about that.

McCain has eaten a lot sh*t to get the nod for this job from the party.

I think the very thought that the elite old guy with the rich wife losing to a 44yr old from middle america is just too much for McCain.

For a guy who is the son and grandson of Admirals to call the son of unknowns elite is ridiculous, but then again I heard people say GW was "a regular guy" or "a rancher". didn't know raising brush to cut down with a chain saw was ranching.
