What I find intriguing and difficult to comprehend is the idea of wanting to be another gender and a propensity towards what are essentially stereotypical gender pursuits.
Why is the attraction to pink frilly, sparkly things important when it's only recently become something intrinsically "feminine?"
Is it not possible to be a gender without engaging in interests associated with that gender? Androgeny is very popular right now.
I'm not a psychologist but it's quite interesting.

I agree with you. Its interesting that male-to-female transsexuals seem to like feminine, cute objects like shoes, pink things etc.
