Just bought this software last night, so for me to say that I don't know wtf I'm doing would be an understatement. Obviously, the sample quality of SD is leaps and bounds ahead of the machine-gun like samples of the DTX.

I'll probably be uploading more as I learn the software.

Enjoy!

  • Were you able to fix the choking issue within Protools?

  • @poxcr

    Funny story...

I sold the DTX last year. So the short answer is NO, but I'm sure I could've figured something out! :p

  • I'm going to be purchasing this kit soon and recording with Garageband on my Imac. Is it fairly straight forward as it would seem or are there any tips for me???

  • @Deadbeans

Here's my tip: Don't use garage band! :p

  • Can you just post how to pull it off here instead of others going all the way there please? I'm also experiencing the same problem. Just please share us on HOW you did it

  • I'll have to walk myself through it again, then I'll post the steps.

It's not like I'm trying to keep a secret or whatever. My memory just sucks. :P

  • O. I forgot. There are also a new firmware and extension for free download.

I was able to use the choke function for this vid because I was using the stand-alone "toontrack solo" software. The sound of the kit is actual audio from the computer, to the brain, back into the computer. It's midi within protools that's causing the issue. I can hear the chokes when I'm tracking, but they don't happen in playback.
