One day tide, and a bigger night tide filmed in Sept 2010 "Magnificent Severn Festival". Surfers on the wave this month included Steve King, Sergio Laus, Stuart Matthews and Russell Winter. Night vision didn't work, but the soundtrack tells a tale anyway.

  • wow, puts the lune bore to shame, should be good on the new moon on the 23rd, as its also the equinox, and up here this year not only are the higher tides at night but the tides on the new moon are higher than those of the full moon so far this year, so I'm looking forward to it.thanks for sharing./

  • @noelist Same here, the night tide was a good deal bigger.

Even so, smaller tidal bores on smaller rivers can look just as impressive.

  • Nice shots Neil..hope the arm feels better..regards Stuart.

  • @MrPoggle371 Cheers Stuart. I'll be back int the water asap. Good to spend time with you at the Fest.

  • I can't possibly think why i like this video so much! Thanks for posting it up ;0)

Although the night bore was bigger than the day, it still had a fair bit of poke in it and the atmosphere was electric!!
