hey. ive performed this song about 3 times and you guys could have totally added more personality to it. smile. its an upbeat song. it was ok. but you def could have pulled off something amazing.

There was absolutely no animation in the choir, this is a happy, jumpy song, there needs to be eyebrows up, leaning forward on certain parts, not glaring any time that your not singing.
Except for that, it was a good rendition, just a minor few fumbles.

they needed to be a lot more enthusiastic when singing this. it's so upbeat, and they're all just kind of standing there. relax and have fun with it!!! :D

Wow...all the gospel was sucked out of this song.
I am the founding director of this choir, and I totally agree with the "lack of animation" comments. A lack of animation is a lack of commitment, and is also cultural. We mid-westerners are culturally less demonstrative in general. This is not to excuse our lack, but to state it is a larger barrier to overcome.
This was the 2nd performance in the choir's existence, all not knowing each other coming from 20 different schools. We have come a long way since then!

Yeah...it's great for Renaissance pieces, but not anything above about 70 bpm. St. John's Abbey has about a 7 second reverb.
