While waiting for a bus outside of Waterfront station I noticed this street musician and it took me a moment to place the tune that sounded so familiar to me. It was "Un Giorno Per Noi." I was surprised to hear the music of Josh Groban on a Vancouver street during the Olympics. I wish I'd have more than a loonie in change to give him! Oh yeah, and this was on my way to an amazing Angelique Kidjo concert. AND it was the same night Canada took Olympic Gold in the Men's Moguls! Our first Gold on Home Soil! Needless to say, It was a good night :-)

  • Thanks for the specifics. I knew it wasn't a Josh Groban original but that's how I know the song best. I agree, he definitely made it his own! So did this random street guy. I love the universality of music :-) Thanks for watching!

  • Although... this 1969 Johnny Matthis single, Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet - "A Time For Us" (Italian: Un giorno per noi - literally, "A day for us") predates Groban by a fair margin. We could say, though, that "he made it his own". =)

  • Yeah, def worth more than a loonie... very cool.
