@buduki1 @ItzDuckSauce No, we're getting hte F-35A, the 'B' is STOVL (the fuel/munitions weigh too much) and 'C' is the carrier variant (Tailhook, tougher landing gear and folding wings) and we're getting LHD's (Helo equlivent of a carrier, without ski ramps so no carrier ops) not full carriers.

@ItzDuckSauce Nice they can take off much like the harrier? Might be able to launch multiple air craft if that's the case, that'll definitely help with air superiority.

@ItzDuckSauce We don't have a lot of choice when it comes to jets with budgets and all, So the F-18 was a good option for it's multi-role capabilities. Much the same reason 'I assume' your marines and navy use it? They replaced the F-111 so as you could imagine it was a definite upgrade :)

@aussiepride2005 those under-wing tanks are indeed fuel tanks. in this case i suppose more fuel = longer routine
