  • What engine you got in yours? Is yours Motor tax exempt? How do you go on for trying to buy parts etc....?

  • @qsunbeam I have a 1994 Transit Van (Perkins Deisel) engine. Yes it's pre 1972 so tax exempt and a much simpler MOT. Parts can be a nightmare. It took years to find the kingpins but it shares a lot of parts with old Land Rovers and the electrics are mostly the same as a Morris Minor. It's a simple enough machine that a lot of the chassis parts can be mended or made easily enough. The body is fibreglass so very easy to fix and no rust. I've done so much to her that there's hardly any left to do.

  • Good seeing the LD Ambulance again. I used to have one! :)

  • @qsunbeam I was just about to go and do a bit of work on her when you left this comment. The LD ambulance is a lovely thing.
