  • Brings back happy memories of 1953 when I first heard this while watching "Susan Slept Here" in a cinema in Hereford with my then girlfriend Joan. We held hands too! But nothing more than that and a kiss goodnight. Thanks for the memory! Great upload.

  • Great song. . .though I don't remember it I remember Don Cornell. My mother would listen to this on WIND in Chicago. . .ah the 50s

  • Baylor School, Chattanooga Tennessee, 1954, one of the very first american songs I heard as a foreign student arriving from Ecuador. I loved it right away. Hearing it again makes my heart beat fast by remembering my first date in the U.S:, a beautiful 15 year old southern blonde. I was also 15. We were only kids but I'll never forget her. We laughed a lot together. What a song! What a voice! What a gal! Life is beautiful!!

  • We were a different breed in those wonderful days, so much great music that will never be forgotten as long as we live!

  • Aahh - takes me back to listening to this on my brother's radiogram lol!

  • @Fegen He could croon but his voice was really more suited to "full-throated" singing. Lot's of power. Probably could have become a fine operatic baritone if he had wanted to go in that direction.

  • Another great song from that era, fantastic memories.

  • One of the most beautiful songs of the 50's. It brings back the memories of my first crush.

  • Don Cornell was an Italian American singer who had a number of hit records

this being one of them. He was a definite crooner like Bing Crosby and some

    of the others.

  • Brings back memories of my teenage, dancing at the local palais on Saturday nights, great, romantic and a taste of heaven.
