My father is getting Dialysis in the next day, he will be in the hospital for three days. Me and my mother are taking it hard right now, even as I type this... I'm crying.
I can't help it, I'm afraid for my father, he's only 59 and I 18, I'm scared I'll lose my father...I don't want him to die, I pray to jesus in heaven to take my life in his stead.
I don't want to see him in pain from dialysis, I pray to god he'll take it well.
i would lay my life for him, without question...I'll die for him

My Dad died in October 2008 from ESRD. He was on hemo and then switched to peritoneal dialysis. He was 59 when he passed away. He fought for almost 4 years, but was only on dialysis 2 years. Dialysis of either kind is horrible on the patient. It's NOT what videos like this say it will be. Keep praying for God's Will for your Dad. It's hard to do when you know God might take him Home but if God wants to heal your Dad that is part of His Will also. This is going to be very hard for you ALL.

I know some people have had bad experiences and people do die. However I am a dialysis patient and I still work full time, and go to the gym three times a week. Mind you I am only 31 and I will not give up my life for anything. It's up to your dad because being on dialysis and facing that can be very depressing and that is what really hurts dialysis patients not the physical problems but the depresssion in dealing with dialysis. Just be there for him.

dialysis is a walk in the park for most people. not associated with much pain it's more of an administrative chore in that you have to schedule it into your lifestyle 3x/wk.

and you don't die from dialysis, you die from all the reasons that put you on the miracle machine. namely, gross vascular disease including cardiac. control your sugars and your blood pressure to optimize your cardiac status and keep your immune system at it's best and you'll up your odds.
