Catfishing the Mississippi on a Kayak

Took the Kayak out for the first time. Still learning but in the process was able to have a blast and land a few fish.

I see that u had three rods with along with you. How many rigs did u fish with out of that kayak?

I usually fish one or two.  It gets tougher the more lines you have out. I'll usually live rig one and use artificial for the other.

since I'm just starting out I bought a good starter kayak. It's an Ocean Kayak scrambler XT. You can pick up the yak for around 500. Setting up afterwards with rod holders, fishfinder, etc ads to the cost but don't have to be bought right away. If you don't already i highly recommend giving it a shot. You won't regret it. I actually just picked up a sit in wilderness systems and will try and run a video on basic rigging without spending a lot of money.

a shorter paddle is easier to move a longer paddle gives you more power but is much heavier it very much matters especially if you are on a long trip
