Oh, thank you, for judging me as well now!
YOU were the one who demanded a statement on that topic again, not me!
Have a nice day, see you in heaven (at least I will shurely be there waiting to have that topic resolved ;-) ) ,
god bless you!

@MarkOpee1: Thats what i ment before, we will most likely not be able to convince each other ;-) Regarding Massacre Records: First: The style of music just fits into the portfolio of massacre (sound like, not lyrics like), the deal with massacre was most likely negotiatet with the managment of the band, not the band itself.
Second: There is no longer any agreement/activity between SM and Massacre records! SM is from now on most likely to do all releases indipendent (and/or with another label).
-
.... but also, stop Judging SM and people that are listening to their music.
Have a look at 1.John the whole letter is full of loving being the base of christianatity, not prejudice.
I wish you all the best, god bless you.

.... because the music and lyrics (and also theatrics) of SM have brought ME into the word studying, thinking about god a lot of times. (This is my personal experience, sorry that it does not fit with your opinion).
For me it all comes down to the following point: You can not convince me, that SM are evil, and I will most likely never convince you they are not. If you are not considering listening to SM helpful for your relationship to god: Please stop listening to it for your own sake .....

.... Fist dedicate your life to christ, and he will show you what in your life needs to be set right. (And occurently there are peple out there who have been told they can follow christ and still wear black cloths).
Anyway: I know the bible quite well, I am currently in working on 1.John and there is a lot about recognizing false doctrine, recognizing the spirits, and I still can not find SM beeing false prophets.
Also: SM shure DOES bring you closer to God and his word, I can say so, because

@MarkOpee1: I dont see this discussion leading somewhere positive, so this will most likely be my last statement here (but feel ffree to have the last word afterwards ;-) ). My feeling is that this is all about judging! If your strongest arguments are the clothing of someone.... The black clothes are not reserved for satanists only! This all sounds like an: First of all, set everything in your life right, then you can be a christian! It is the other way round! .....

@MarkOpee1: I meant, it is on HIM to judge. Nevertheless please don't get me wrong, we can of course talk about wether or not using this song is a good idea or not, or if the representation is helpful to spread the word of god or not. Regarding your comments you do not think so, but I think there are people out there who can understand and see god throgh the work of SM (just my opinion again!)
-
@MarkOpee1: Most important point I want to make: Wether you think SM is a "christian band" or not (whatever that in particular should be), do not judge the band members. I heard a quote someday, do not know who said this but it was somethink like: When we will be in heaven, we will be surprised by whom we will see there where we didn't expect it and whom we will NOT see there where we shurely expected it. Only GOD knows the heart, and HE is to judge.
-
@MarkOpee1: Next topic: imagery and behaviour: God made us unique, god gave us creativity and todays christianity is setting very close borders! If you are not that stereotype of a christian and do not wear "bright" clothes and your hair is not too short and not too lon, blablablah... Some of us are different, have a different view of things. That may be disturbing and confusing for some, also it may be offending, but does not mean that such a perosn is no christian necessarily.
-
@MarkOpee1: Well, I see your point of view and I don't want to convince you of anything else because I don't know if my sight on SM and this song is ok either... But let me be a littlebit "extreme" regarding the context you mentioned: Thousands were killed in the name of the Bible during the crusades, does that mean we should no longer use the Bible then? (I am well aware that the Bible and that particular song we are talking about have a different origin, just wanted to visualize my thoughts!)
Markopee: different thoughts........ your words: mess, mine are: great, i wish they come back in Germany!! :)
