  • I listen to the Roxy version almost every day. Son of Orange County leads into Trouble and features one Zappa's all time solos. This sounds like a different mix from the same performance.

    OUTSTANDING!

really, one of the greatest American songs ever played.

  • Excellent live version!

So, is this Barry Keene on the board?

  • @alto100 Club setting would have been very cool too. Up close and personal. Did see him at Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh ( its a small 2,000 seat theatre ), in third row. But I know the Roxy, never been there but would love to have been THAT close. He was great man....my wife and I saw him about 10 times since 75. She was my girlfriend in 74 but had to work the night of Edinboro. She still curses me over that!

  • @1922sultan That was quite a tour... I was referring to Hollywood @ the Roxy. I bet the crowd in Edinboro was impressive.. glad you got up close... something to remember forever... the guy really delivered live ... Roxy was just a small club on the Strip..

  • @alto100 ...youre right....1974 / Edinboro ' extravaganza '.....I was in front row....amazing!!!!!!

  • @sesamharold ...Dude, I did ask you! But it was '74 so you can be excused for not remembering...in light of the fact that the ENTIRE 70's were a smoke-filled blur. LOL.....Shine On................

  • @1922sultan I would have gone with you, but you didn´t ask me! Would have taken all the way from Germany with pleasure for that concert!

I got this ROXY on vinyl, listened to it until you cannot hear the music anymore because of all the scratches :)) - simply GREAT stuff!

  • wow this was allsome solo
