@kake1959 Totally agree. For me this production was a total SHAME for the cuts, the unskilled technique of Netrebko, and the rest of the cast wasn't better!

Whenever Netrebko can't sing a role, she spends time rolling around on the floor to take the focus away from her singing because she thinks this makes her a great actress. Like most Germanic productions of Italian opera, this sounds like crap except for Garanca. Netrebko sounds like a parody of bel canto..... like Miss Piggy sings Bolena!!

I have always believed that when an opera singer achieves a level of greatness, she should be granted immortality so that her perfection should last throughout the years.

You can just imagine the emotions she was feeling during this performance, but she still reached her high notes. That is true talent.
