I am speechless, as I was so fortunate to play under him a couple times. We did the Brahms Symphony cycle (1 - 4). When he would walk on to the podium for rehearsal, you just knew that this man had "IT". You listened to every word, watched every gesture and expression, and became the extension of what he molded us to perform. At end of rehearsals, if he was happy with our music - he would say "And so, that is it". He would smile and head for refreshments... Danke, Gott, für diesen Mann
