Sergei de Jonge is not only one of the premiere Canadian Luthier's but he also teaches many up and coming builders. He has decades of knowledge and experience building both Steel String and Nylon String guitars. His voice is identifiable by it's clarity and balance. This SSS guitar has balance and articulation for the player who wants to hear every nuance in the music. The body features premium Brazilian Rosewood and a Bearclaw Spruce top that is simply breathtaking to behold. It has symmetrical figure that is simply stunning.

@skuttlebuttle I'm going to study under Sergei in another 2011-12. I love his work. His daughter, Joshia makes incredible guitars. Many comprable guitars to Sergei, but a bit more affordable. Guitars are just as good, in my opinion.

I used to own that beauty...His guitars are mind boggling. I've had the pleasure of owning three over the years..wish I had at least one back in my lap. They don't hold value like a vintage Gibson or Martin though. A new deJonge can run over 10 grand but I've seen used ones in mint condition with exotic woods sell for 3 or 4 thousand. Seems a bit rediculous.
