i have to ask... are there age restrictions to these conventions? there will be the pafcon event in las vegas 2011 and there's a 99% chance that i will be 17, (unless it is like right after new years.)

There's usually no restriction on who can dress up at sci-fit/fantasy/furry conventions. Wear what you want, have fun.

It depends. Some people will commission the construction of costumes for themselves while other well build them themselves. It all depends on personal preference.
Some of the higher quality suits can cost several thousand dollars.

Excellent vid, Smackjackal! Very cool vibe it gives off. I've shown it to several people who wonder what a con can be like. :)
If you should decide to make a 2008 version in a few weeks, don't forget to get some footage of some of us artists trapped behind our tables in the Dealer's Room.

I'm certainly going to be there this year. I'll make sure to make pass through the Dealer's tomb...er...room to catch some video of the coolness happening there!
