  • All you need to fix a radiator is one cigarette. Dump the tobacco in (without the paper or filter) fill it the rest of the way up, and your done... It has worked for my family for years.

  • @Lancifer07

The cigarette fix may be a useful solution for small crack in some types of radiators.

We wouldn't suggest it as a fix-all for any type or size of radiator, but thanks for the secret tip.

Sounds like it would be worth trying at least once instead of pouring that terrible "leak stop" gunk that they sell in the stores. We don't ever recommend anyone to use those "leak stop" products....especially for engine oil leaks.

  • I wonder if he put any water back in it

  • yup, this video is 2 minutes from a 3 and a half hour complete rebuild DVD.

There are quite a few more steps to complete the job and yes, filling the radiator is right towards the end.

  • Thank you very much for sharing this video, This is awsome video. I hope you have posted all of the sections, so I can understand about it.

    Thanks

  • Can't really post the entire video, it's a full DVD that's over 3 and half hours long. It's called 'Basic Engine Building' and can be used for pretty much any type of engine.

  • do not shove a screw driver inside a rubber hose to pry it off, believe it or not spray a bit of WD40 in there and give it a couple minutes, it will come right off, and you won't tear the hose, nor chip, scratch your thermostat housing, etc...

  • I don't think I would ever flush coolant down the toilet. Most cities have recycling facilities that deal with this more appropriately and more safely.

  • i used once those "leak stop" in my radiator but i would like to know why isnt recomended...

  • you are the best of best ! i'll try to buy the DVD ! we are in europa

  • Excellent quality video, looks like you really know what you're doing, both in car repair and video production. I'll check out the other vids on your channel.

  • After draining the coolant did put MORE IN! lol

  • yeah I thought he might have LOL, I meant did the guy that supposedly blew his engine up following this guide put any water back in afterwards LOL
