My Streetmate only has 450 miles on it. The engine siezed and I thought the oil pump went out. I took it apart and discovered thas they glued an octagon shaped piece of rubber with a slit on the end of it on the end of the crankshaft to drive the pump... It stripped out in less than 500 miles and my engine is now destroyed!! THANKS TOMOS!! I have fixed my moped but i have removed the oil injection system. Its safer to just mix it myself. BE WARNED MOPED RIDERS!!!

I wouldn't call that problem your failure, more just a faulty design.

I have a 2008 Streetmate R and a 1995 Mustang 5.0L :)
I removed the freakin' oil pump on the Streetmate after the hose burst on me in heavy rush hour traffic. Thank God I saw the puddle before I gunned it again. Not. Dealing. With. It. I prefer to premix now 40:1 and never worry about it anymore.

I have seen that you are a moped expert, why do you not just remove the oil injection system? I know at the end of the video you explained this reason, but it is a gamble with the oil injection, I mean what if the pump breaks? Does the engine shut down before the engine seizes? Another question, do you premix and run the injector?

Yes, I pre mix & use the oil pump at the same time.... you see? there is a reason to keep it!

how did you bleed the oil. Were the oil lines connected or disconnected at the time you were bleeding the lines? thanks

@almortal87 The lines were connected while bleeding... I put pre mix gas in the tank ALONG with running the oil injection... this makes for a very rich oil mix / blue smoke etc... I then went through a tank of gas like this untill all the air bubbles passed though...

thanks man well not really all i really needed to know was if im supposed to bleed it with the engine on or off or if it doesnt matter o well guess i have to look in my enduro manual.... he skipped the most important part geez man thanks y even waste the time to make that video , well at least you tried...

use your head... you bleed the oil line with the engine OFF if your not using at leat 40:1 premix. ON if you are using at least 40:1 premix. I do mention this in the video if you bothered to listen at all.
