A song written by Mike Fawcett and Al Chamberlain. This arrangement by Jude Obermuller was written in memory of Mike who passed away suddenly on 18th November, 2009. He was a teacher at Blatchington Mill School, was a shining example of the word genuine, and resultedly was quite literally liked by all who ever met him. There have been a huge amount of tributes paid to Mike, of which many are on YouTube, can be seen on Facebook, and read here on the website of Brighton's newspaper, The Argus:

This piece, Darling Night (also known as Tale of the Expected) was the finale of his memorial concert, held at Blatchington Mill School on Wednesday, 16th December 2009. It was performed by Jude Obermuller at the piano, Sarah Milner on Violin, and a chorus of GCSE girls, who all knew Mike well. You can listen to the orginal song on his MySpace band page:

a beautiful song perfomed so well. I didn't know the man but I got quite emotional watching this. I am certain he would be very proud.
