So this is part of a series of animations I made back in high school that won the state-wide animation competition in Spring 2006 (each of which had to fall under certain limits, explained below). The quality isn't professional. After all, it was completely done by me in a short time span in high school, so I think it's pretty good all things considered. I'm currently in college working on a degree in 3D art and technology.

The only limit on this animation was that it could be no longer than 30 seconds. This is the first real animation I've ever done. That's a recording of me playing on the piano, playing Terra a bit faster than it should be played in order to fit the segment I wanted into the small time frame. There was no motion capture either, I had to work the bones in the hands individually and time them properly to the music, which is why it gets a little off towards the end.

  • people have been saying this is fake and that you dont acually make these things they say they are from animusic??

  • The animation is absolutely mine. Made it in highschool and won competitions with them. The music, however, is not mine, and I give credit where credit is due in the...credits.

Animusic inspired me to do this stuff :)

  • what's the name of the song

  • Terra, by Nobuo Uematsu

  • That's cool but why isn't it finished?

  • The competition this was for when I was in high school said it had to be 30 seconds long, else it would be disqualified. Just the competition rules. :)

  • You should make a full version of this, maybe add other instrument parts.

  • Good choice of music for this animation it all fit so well and I loved it.

  • It's pretty good, but not exactly how piano parts move (except for the keys)

  • FAKE

  • its brilliant animation :)

  • pretty good, you should create a long version.

  • @vampireknightgal there just stupid

animusic has better graphics and more skill

in short the animation would have more interest and the music wouldnt be ripped from a person playing a piano

they have software that they use to make the music they dont even need a stupid piano

it does look like it would be done by animusic tho

  • @eskippy4

  • what do u use seriouly

    this is good

go for that degree u will be able to work with animusic

and u really should do a 10 minute vid of this it would be so beautiful
