Like I said earlier Farani did well. For him to win gold medals at the South Pacific games, Oceania games, rep Samoa at the Olympics on a shoestring budget & resources is bloody excellent. The problem with us islanders is we like to put each other down. Its a symptom of our own self doubt. We don't want to see Farani as one who went down representing what is best about Samoa. We would rather see him as someone who embarrassed us on TV. That's not only sad but it also reveals our insecurities.
seriousllyyyy embarasin'! lol SHOT ELE OPELOGE! Your as close as we get at getting a medal! Rock on girl..Farani Tavui? haha taimi loa o le retire lol
No shame, he did well. What his coach shud have taught him is that its ok to take a knee if you aint right & better defence. You gotta realise he dont have access to the resources & fight opportunities that US and European fighters take for granted. Ive fought in the ring and experienced eating thru a straw for 2wks. No shame in getting ko'd it happens to the best ask Ali, Forman etc. Win/lose you need heart to get in the ring. Only those who who never been man enuff to get in think its shame.
man this guy is fucking embarassing for samoa..the first samoan to be taken out on a stretcher...man he doesn't even know how to box..man i can't believe he did michael jackson dance in the ring...

Samoans love putting each other down. Just a symptom of excessive pride. No balls or guts to get out there either. Sad
