@Addiegrl1 and should be given frequent, small sips of water. Horses that have done long, moderate exercise(such as endurance horses), should be allowed to drink water durring and immediately after competition."
Oh and as for horses drinking water after competition the following is recommended per Tufts/Cummings School of Veterinary medicine: Horses that have done short, extreme bursts of exercise need to be cooled down slowlycarefully
These stunts are dangerous and disrespectful to horses. I can't even imagine the daily stress you put them under. You are not a horseman, but a clown performing circus stunts. I can see you are self taught, I recommend you take dressage with a good trainer. Your trainer would never let you disrespect yourself or your animals. You have a lot to learn my dear Aussie, else stick with the outback!
ok read some info on the drinking and eating after a workout, ppl have different beliefs on it....but after a hard workout horses can't drink much water afterwards or they will get sick, depends on alot of circumstances, how sweaty or hot the horse is,......are they foaming from being so hot, all depends......but I wouldn't judge or make assumptions on one meeting, his horses don't look neglected in any way......they look healthy :)
this guy clearly loves his horses, why is it anytime you put yourself out in the publics eye someone always has to criticize??? Any moron can see he takes very good care of his horses....
thats not what my vet recommends, and the horse stables we board at says after working the horses hard you let them cool down .....no water or food for at least half hour.....or their stomaches will get messed up, can kill them if you let them drink or eat right afterwards....
