it doesn't change... and you don't "type" it in, you have to change the numbers from reverse, as shown in the video. if you think the game's author changed the room number, then observe the cell numbers across the hall from you from your peep hole.

What are the symbols? I know the numbers are 8439 But I cant see the code clearly on this youtube clip

which symbols? the numbers are 8439, but you have to input it backwards... it gives you 0-9 and i think the letters A-F. so, those are the "symbols".
