The referees had no choice but to call a major due to the cut & boards, think they got stuck with a technicality of the rulebook. The hit itself was worth 2 minutes at the absolute most, and only became as bad as it did thanks to Lewis bizarrely turning. Hanzals hit however, hope he lands a suspension for that one. I'm neither a Kings nor 'yotes fan, just fyi.

As a Kings fan, I couldn't understand why Lewis did turn towards the boards just like the announcers expressed, but when they give us the view from across the ice later in the video, Lewis isn't trying to draw a penalty, he's going to try to get the puck out of there and since Brown doesn't have a stick, he's got to pass it back to Voynov and to do so he needs to get the puck and see where Voynov is. The penalty is deserved.

This was the worst refed series ever! I was at these games and the refs were acting like they were being payed off. Doan's hit was legal, that is the LA guys fault!!

bad call. as doan says, "i get a five minute major for bumping a guy." and the only reason doan fell off balance after bumping lewis was because he wasn't watching where he was going. also everyone knows you get buy fake blood.

Worst penalty ever!!!!!!!! What à fucking disgrace, Lewis turned and it was his fault, doan deserved 2 at the most but the kings paid off everyone.

Lewis turned around, saw Doan was coming, looked back down to locate the puck and clear it out and then was hit from behind. He's not gonna watch Doan come in and nail him from the front.

And why wouldn't brown get the call? He was obviously slashed and wanted the ref to know so he can get a call. He's not being a baby for that. Why wouldn't you want to put you're team on a power play if there was actually a penalty.

slash or not, if the ref sees it he will call it. but being a bitch turning to the ref begging for a handout is a joke, not what hockey use to be (thats why im mad). you can't tell me the calls where not favoring the kings. that unsportsmanlike conduct on ryan kesler (facewash), the knee on knee hit on rozsival (no call), and that 5 min penalty on steve bernier (during a stanley cup deciding game, you dont call that). as lindy ruff would say it's a joke.
