grestch duo jets are way better in look and tone and play ability, people just buy les pauls cause they wanna be like there fav rocker and they think that kind of guitar makes then cool..

@1964GuitarCovers Well tone, look, and playability are subjective things. For what it's worth, when buying and electric I was tossing up between a LP and a Gretsch PowerJet... I didn't like the LP because I wanted to be like any particular "rocker", mostly I just liked the shape. While looking on eBay found a 2nd hand LP at the right price and right time so that was it.

Haha, umm, I guess you can thank Gibson for that. I had the guitar plugged direct into input on my PC, so no "colouring" of the tone.

John and George swapped roles for this one, so George was on rhythm, and the lead and solo was Lennon.
